Creating spaces to learn, grow and explore.
Ignite Penrith is a charity that creates spaces for young people to learn, grow and explore. We work alongside and support young people aged 10-18 years of age, in Penrith and the surrounding area. We’re passionate about seeing young people’s lives improved and we do this by:
1. Creating spaces and opportunities for young people to meet together and to build community
2. Improving educational and practical skills, to encourage good behaviour and to raise aspirations
3. Giving space for young people to explore for themselves who Jesus is and what that means for them
Carl is the Network Youth Leader for Penrith and the surrounding villages. He lives near Greystoke and is married with two sons.
You can get in touch with Carl here>
The work that Carl does is supported by a number of volunteer leaders who regularly give up their time to support young people through the projects Ignite are involved in. Each volunteer leader has been DBS checked.

What we do
We are committed to good youth work practice. Over the course of a standard week we are involved in a variety of different youth work projects in and around the Penrith area. We've listed some of these below, just to give you a taster. If you want to find out more details about a specific initiative, click the Find out more link under the relevant section.
